Senior Cloud Engineer

Project Overview:

Our large public sector client is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to support an enterprise-scale project.

Desirable Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in cloud architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of complex application architectures that are scalable and repeatable, ideally within a services/ consulting

• Hands-on experience with the design and configuration of secure and scalable Cloud platforms; including account structure, security and compliance audit, connectivity, shared services;

• Experience working in multi-cloud environments, specifically Azure, AWS and GCP;

• Knowledge of cloud native architecture and principles and Infrastructure as a code;

• Knowledge of cloud services: application integration, functions, cloud databases, data warehouse and analytics, serverless computing, machine learning, developer tools, security and identity management;

• Knowledge of and experience in API and Webhook development using Python, Node.js, Ruby, PowerShell and Shell Scripting languages;

• Fundamental understanding and experience with DevOps and DevOps tools;

• Experience in Cloud automation such as, ARM & Terraform to enable Infrastructure as a Code, AWS Command Line Interface, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible;

• Proven track record in system integration and design and setup of Infrastructure as a service and Platform as a service deployment;

• Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to effectively communicate complex technology solutions and lead discussions with clear goals, deliverables, documented agreements and follow up actions

Nice to have:

• Relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including MS SQL Server, PostgreSQLand Cosmos DB;

• Data pipeline and workflow management tools such as Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, etc.

• Experience with Cloud Operating Systems including OpenStack, OpenShift, Windows, Linux, and vSphere;

• Active presence in the open source community, including experience working on an open source project.
